Hello! My name is Andrea Vallejo, and I could not be more excited to finally create this blog as it has been on my mind for several years now.

I am currently majoring in Political Science and Public Policy with a minor in Latin American Studies and Pre-Law. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I plan to attend law school to reach my ultimate goal of becoming an immigration lawyer. Running for office has also been a recent interest of mine, we need more Latinos in politics, why not be one of them, right? There have been many moments in which I have underestimated this plan, but I continue to work hard in order to attain this goal.

The purpose behind creating this blog is to act as a guide for others through my own experiences. There may be a thing or two you can learn about my life and possibly apply it to your own.

Though it may have taken me years to create my blog, it also took me an eternity to come up with a name for it. Siente La Lluvia interprets to “Feel The Rain” in Spanish. The title was inspired by a quote that makes me happy, “Some people feel the rain, others just get wet.” Life has plenty to offer, and I encourage you to take full advantage of it. Learn from past mistakes, be the best version of yourself and most importantly, smile a lot.

My eyes water as I write this because I finally stopped letting my fears get in the way of what I really want in life. Though creating this blog may appear to be insignificant to many of you, my heart is filled with joy.

Grab some tea and join me on this new chapter of my life.

siente la lluvia.

XO,

AV
